This week’s Mental Health Monday is a little different—and deeply important. In light of the events that took place in Boulder over the weekend, I wanted to share some guidance on how to talk to kids about racism, bias, and injustice. These are hard conversations, but silence isn’t the answer. Kids notice more than we think, and when we avoid these topics, we risk leaving them confused or sending unspoken messages. In this video, I offer some thoughts on how to open up these discussions in a way that’s honest, age-appropriate, and grounded in empathy.
